Intro to Graphics and Visual Communication
In this course, I am currently learning about the artistic components of journalism and how to effectively create content that is visually appealing and still communicates a message. The software used in this class is Adobe InDesign. I have learned skills in design principles, the basics of typography, proper spacing and layout, and proper color usage.
Below are the projects I have completed thus far, click on the images for further detail.

To get familiar with InDesign's drawing tools, our task was to draw a person based off a Winter Olympics sport.

Utilizing the information we learned on basic typography, I created headlines that could work for an article.

To combine our skills in illustration and typography, our task was to design a flyer for a real event in the country we were assigned. I was assigned the country of Portugal.
